Basilica of Guadalupe
This place is one of the most visited in the city of Mexico and the country, which is visited by millions of pilgrims each year especially on December 12th is the day we celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe Paton of Mexico and Empress of America  to the place come the faithful kneeling in compliance with demands offered to the Virgin. Here is the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe which appeared to Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill and requested that this place was built his altar. The basilica is located north of Mexico City, the new basilica was designed by Peter Ramiez Vazquez arcitect which was built between 1974 and 1976, it is an empty crucifix which means the resurrection of Christ. The basilica has about 100,000 faithful and receives every year over 10 million pilgrims.
Just outside the basilica was built a bronze statue to honor the memory of Pope John Paul II, who visited Mexico in 5 cases.
